Jason Palmer, Dean of Spiritual Life at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, has announced his intent to resign effective June 30, 2025. Palmer's announcement came through an email to the staff and student body on Oct. 1, 2024, which stated that he has accepted a pastoral position at his local church in Gerorgetown, which is preparing to launch a Church Plant in Whitefish, Montanana, in October 2025.
Palmer ended his statement with the following, “As you can imagine, this decision has not been easy because I believe wholeheartedly in the mission of this University; however, I cannot call others to a faith I am unwilling to practice personally just because doing so brings discomfort–I’m confident that God loves us and is working all these things for His glory and our good.”
