On Monday, Sept. 16, the Republican Party of Bell County sent out a press release announcing its Call for Unity. In it, it denounced political violence and dangerous rhetoric” to safeguard our nation.
In the Call for Unity, the Republican Party of Bell County expressed its concerns regarding the rise of political violence and the use of what is referred to as “dangerous rhetoric.” The document states that “political violence, in any form, is an affront to the principles of dialogue and debate,” which the party deems essential to a healthy society and political system.
The document claims that “divisive and inflammatory rhetoric dehumanizes opponents and incites aggression among individuals and groups.” The party calls for more civil and respectful discourse regarding the political beliefs of individuals residing in Bell County.
