Brandi Manthei ’12 graduated from the University of Miami on Dec. 14 with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) and a specialty in Nurse Anesthesia. She a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in Dallas.

Kristin Zastoupil elected TSPRA President

Kristin Zastoupil elected TSPRA President

Kristin Hall-Richardson Zastoupil ’03 was elected the Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA) President for 2018-2019. TSPRA is a 900-member association serving school communications departments across Texas. She previously served four years as a vice president. Kristin is the executive director of Corsicana ISD education foundation and webmaster for Corsicana ISD. She lives in Ennis with her husband Brendan and two sons, Bryton and Kolton.

Mayra Velez received award

Mayra Velez ’91 received the Champions at Teaching (CAT) Award in January. The CAT is awarded to educators whose classrooms excel in their CBA or other formative test scores. She is a bilingual educator and technology liaison for Hector P. Garcia Dual Language Academy in Temple. Mayra received her M.Ed. from Texas State University in Educational Technology.

Elizabeth Davis launches faith-based community counseling center

Elizabeth Davis ’88 launched Embrace New Life, LLC, a new faith-based, psychology-informed community counseling center in Heath. She offers traditional and telehealth counseling for couples in need of dating, premarital, relationship, parenting, affair-recover, and trauma counseling. Myron Sanders retires

Myron Dean Sanders ’80 has retired after 33 years as a CRNA and 37 years as an RN. He will now have time for golf and visiting grandkids as well as traveling with his wife.
